Valentines day

Happy valentines day!

So just for valentines day, we are going to learn how to make cranes and hearts!

Lets start with crane. You need a square paper for this. If you dont have, grab a rectangle paper, fold a triangle and cut out the remaining.

Draw a line and unfold it so you know where to cut.
We are going to demostrate by origami.
So it will be coloured. IT will not be easy to look at the pictures.

Step 1:
Fold the paper into half so you get a triangle.

Step 2 :
Fold the paper into half again so you get a smaller triangle.

Step 3 :
Spread out from the inside and fold when it becomes a 'puffy diamond'.

Step 4 :
Repeat step 3 for the other side.

Step 5 :

Fold the edges to the centre line ( as shown in the picture )
(If you see the triangle it looks like ice cream. ) Unfold it.

Step 6 :
Repeat step 5 for the other side.

Step 7 :
Spread out from the inside then fold upwards then press down.
(By using the ice cream in the cone.)

Step 8 :
Repeat (Step 7 ) for the other side.

Step 9 :
Open it like a book. Turn to the 'previous page' and fold the bottom flap
to the top flap.

Step 10 :
Fold 'two pages' to the right and fold the bottom flap to the top flap.

Step 11 :
Turn one page to the 'previous page'.

Step 12 :
Pull out the head and tail.

Step 13 :

Make a pocket fold on one of the head. ( or tail )
( You could open it, fold, close it, then pull it out. )

Step 14 : Pull the wings out.

Step 15 : TADA! YOU ARE DONE!!

Whew ! What a feat it is! Okay, lets start with hearts now!
You need a square for this.
Step 1 :
Fold the Square into half.
Unfold it.

Step 2 :
Cut it.( Cut the crease )
CAUTION!!!
Only for children for 4 years or above.
If 3 years or below, use rulers!!!

Step 3 :
Fold it into half. ( Unfold it )

Step 4 :
Fold the top down of
2/3 of the shape.

Step 5 :
Turn it to the back side.
Fold the top side ( seperate sides ) so that it touches the sides.

Step 6 :
Fold at the corners to ' unsharp ' it.

Step 7 :
Turn it over and you are done!
